Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales, PA, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the U.S. Department of Defense and various U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. As an innovative company offering a wide array of products, we strive to continuously develop new technology and drive process improvement.
The Assistant Maintenance Manager will support the Machine Maintenance Department in daily operations and also perform advanced repairs on all of our CNC machines, automation, and robotics in our facilities. This team leader will need to be able to diagnose problems while simultaneously working to increase the capacity of the department.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and track ongoing repairs and production floor needs.
- Coordinate parts requests, quotes, and third-party service.
- Work with the Machine Maintenance Manager to schedule preventative maintenance.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on a variety of CNC production equipment.
- Design and implement automation and robotic systems.
- Test Faulty equipment using precision test apparatus.
- Apply their knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and air systems to perform complex diagnostics to determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
- Align, adjust and calibrate machines according to specifications.
- Provide training to teammates to develop their existing skills.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3-5 years of CNC repair or PLC/automation experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Model team player, positive attitude, and effective communicator
