We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to join our fast-growing team. We seek an enthusiastic and proactive sales professional with a strong track record in business-to-business sales and a natural ability to build relationships with business owners, managers, and executives. The successful candidate will have excellent consultative selling skills, comfort with discussing business technology products and services, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to connect effectively with C-level customers and business partners of small and medium-size businesses.

Responsibilities:
- Attend First-Time-Appointments (FTAs) with business owners and leaders of small and mid-size businesses to learn about their business and computing needs, introduce our services, and determine if their company is a good fit for our services.
- Develop and manage relationships with referral sources via various professional business networking activities.
- Develop and maintain a list of prospective clients and relationships.
- Log and update all prospecting activity and required follow-up tasks in the CRM and assist with keeping prospect information up to date.
- Work prospects though the sales process, developing a consultative relationship.
- Perform common sales duties including communicating with prospects via phone and email, identifying key stakeholders and decision makers, scheduling and attending meetings with prospects, and analyzing their needs, pain, and available budget.
- Work with our technical staff to discover technical details about the prospect’s network.
- Drive sales conversations and processes from start to finish, qualifying and disqualifying prospects efficiently, and tailoring a presentation of our services to fit a prospect’s needs.
- Responsible for preparing and presenting proposals, getting proposals and master services agreements signed, and assisting in the new client onboarding process and hand-off to our service delivery team.
- Answer inbound sales calls and respond to inbound inquiries from our website when the BD Representative is not available.
- Assist with sales, marketing, and business promotion activities including email newsletters and printed newsletters, assembling client testimonials, attending professional networking events and business social events, assisting with hosting events with prospects, and developing business referral partners.
- Assist with the development of Annual Company Sales Plan and Annual Company Marketing Plan.
- Contribute to evolution of BD SOPs and Best Practices.
- Assist with research and development of service improvements, extensions, and new services.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle to drive to client sites and other events.
Requirements
Preferred candidates for this role will have:
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in the field of business, computers, network administration or Information Technology, or similar field is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in outside sales, new business development and sales management in a service-based business, moving prospective clients through the sales process and closing sales is preferred.
- Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience is preferred and helpful.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking and computer infrastructure technologies, and computer support needs for small and midsize businesses is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required. Experience with PowerPoint and Publisher is helpful.
- Sandler Selling System training, experience and certification is preferred and helpful.
