Job Summary: Wolfe House Movers, LLC is a growing specialized transportation company located in Bernville, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Company Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various accounting functions, including general accounting, billing, receivables, and reconciliation of financial accounts. Additionally this role will handle or oversee payroll processing and various payroll tax returns.
Position Overview: As the Company Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial transactions, budgeting, and preparing financial reports. You will ensure compliance with accounting regulations and oversee our day-to-day financial operations. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial health and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial forecasts.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Process payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and deductions
- Process customer billings, monitor receivables, and follow up with past due customers
- Oversee accounts payable transaction entry and financial account reconciliation
- Process intercompany financial transactions within related companies group
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum three years work experience as a Company Accountant or in a relevant role.
