Skild AI is a startup focused on creating large-scale foundation models for robotics with the goal of developing general-purpose robotic intelligence. Position Overview:
We are looking for Embedded Systems Engineers to design, develop, and implement embedded systems for a variety of applications. You will work closely with a team of engineers to create high-quality, reliable, and efficient embedded solutions that meet our clients' needs.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop embedded systems and software for various applications.
- Write, test, and debug embedded software and firmware.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware components.
- Perform system -level and unit-level testing to ensure the reliability and performance of embedded systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for embedded systems, including design specifications, user manuals, and test plans.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on hardware and software designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to embedded systems in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS, MS or higher degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency developing in low-level systems languages (C, C++, Rust, Go).
- Proven experience in embedded systems design and development.
- Experience with realtime operating systems such as Linux Preempt-RT and FreeRTOS..
- Strong understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and digital/analog circuit design.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.
- Experience with hardware design and PCB layout.
- Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc.).
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
