ENT Facial Plastics Cosmetic Surgical Coordinator

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing patient education, coordination, and scheduling for plastic surgery procedures. Assists physician and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physician.

Essential Position Functions:

In order to provide quality patient care, ensure patient satisfaction, and meet regulatory requirements, the Cosmetic Surgical Coordinator performs the following duties:

 -       Schedule Cosmetic Surgeries

 -       Obtain authorizations when required by insurance

 -       Triage patient phone calls

 -       Manager all surgical correspondence for cosmetic patients

 -       Medical supply ordering when needed

 -       Patient imaging for cosmetic patients

 -       Pre and post op patient management

 -       Provide all self-pay patients with patient financial responsibility

 -       Collect deposits and payments

-       Provide patient with estimates at time of consultation

 -       Make patient phone calls

 -       Obtain pre-op clearances prior to surgery date

 -       Patient follow-up when need pre- and post-surgery/appointment dates

 -       Order cosmetic patient medication

 -       Manage social media correspondence

 -       Set up translators when needed

 -       Set up at-home nurses for patients who need home care post procedure

 -       Obtain consents prior to surgery

 -       Coordinate all MOHs procedure patients

 -       Obtain surgier time on block days

 -       None

Requirements

-       High school education or G.E.D. equivalent.  Completion of a two-year program for medical assistant preferred

-       Current CPR Certifications

 -       Three years prior experience in a medical setting, preferably in a cosmetic office setting

 -       Must be able to work independently

 -       Must have reliable transportation and able to travel between all three locations:

 -       Chester, Media & Glen Mills

 -       Must be able to work a minimum of 1 night shift a week at our Media/Glen Mills locations

-       Be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians.

 -       Accurate computer scheduling skills.
