What You'll Be Doing
You’ll provide day-to-day technical support to refinery Operations & Maintenance personnel as a Fixed Equipment Expert with advanced knowledge of design and inspection codes.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance equipment maintenance strategies and inspection programs.
- Conduct reliability engineering analysis, including life cycle cost analysis; identify process and economic impacts associated with equipment failures and operating reliability.
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations and develop effective corrective actions. Eventually, participate as one of the Lead Incident Investigators onsite.
- Oversee inspection processes, evaluate results, and conduct Fitness-For-Service evaluations per API 579.
- Initiate and champion improvement projects to optimize equipment life.
- Collaborate with the PSM team on Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance (OSHA 1910.119); complete MOC forms and participate in PHAs.
- Partner with project engineers to ensure compliance with ASME and API standards, reviewing equipment designs and repairs. Providing employee training as needed.
- Support Turnaround planning and execution.
Requirements
What You'll Bring to the Job:
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- A wide range of experience considered, from near entry level to seasoned professional. Your co-op in a related role will be considered as they evaluate a diverse talent.
- 1 year & near entry level qualifies at the bottom of the salary range plus 15% bonus target
- 10+ years relevant experience qualifies closer to the top of the range + 20% bonus target
- Experience in a high-risk industry such as refining, petrochemical, or chemical processing is required; Maintenance, Reliability, or Equipment focused engineering,
- Strong technical knowledge, including familiarity with ASME, API codes, and OSHA PSM element.
- Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
