About the Role:
You will be responsible for local and remote user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, system administration, utilizing security software and procedures. You will work closely with multiple vendors, multiple internal departments, and multiple Eriez team members worldwide. This position contributes greatly to the overall efficiency of the entire Eriez Manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, and in person
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and resolve them efficiently
- Monitor system performance and perform administrative tasks
- Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates and patches
- Setup and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices
- Onboard, offboard, and maintain user accounts primarily through Active Directory
- Report and escalate issues to management when needed
- Participate in cybersecurity reviews and initiatives
- Enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure
- Educate users on best practices for information security
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and user information
- Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users
- Collaborate with employees, vendors, and management, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Ethernet/Wi-Fi topology
- Solid technical background, with hands-on experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, Hosting, IIS, O365, Email / Exchange, and prefer AZURE experience
- Strong working knowledge of Antivirus, backup solutions, and system monitoring
- Demonstrate drive in continuous process improvement
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
