IT Specialist

Barens, INC., a division of BE Power Equipment USA is hiring an IT Specialist to join our team! Since opening in 1994, Barens has established itself as one of the leading and most respected distributors of pressure washer parts and accessories in North America. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this key role will provide user support and technical guidance for staff. This is an amazing opportunity to join a world class organization!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Provide user support which requires troubleshooting and providing technical guidance to company staff as needed.
• Implement regular housekeeping procedures including but not limited to: data backup, software updates, hardware maintenance etc.
• Provide desktop and printer support for users as required.
• Setup and administration of network accounts.
• Provide orientation to new users of existing technology in system use and access.
• Establish and control system access and security.
• Check systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action where necessary.
• Assess the company's information systems and identify gaps that need to be addressed.
• Ensure security and privacy measures are in place.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• Diploma in an IT related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2-5 years of related work experience preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Network experience including management of DNS, DHCP, switches, routers and access points.
• Experience working with a variety of devices including, but not limited to: desktops, printers, VOIP phones, cellphones, and Android scan guns.
• Experience working with a cloud-based ticketing system.
• Experience managing user accounts.
• Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
