JOB SUMMARY
The Master Scheduler reports to the Director of North America Supply Chain and is responsible for production planning for manufacturing, packaging, and quality control release, coordinating production workflow for multiple SKUs and facilities while prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. The individual will take a lead role in sales & operations planning (S&OP), continuous improvement, product flow and capacity improvement to improve the overall efficiency and profitability of manufacturing.
Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities
- Responsible for the overall development and maintenance of the site master production schedule
- Consolidate and prioritize demand from multiple sources to create a plan for downstream operations
- Publish and update projected scheduled dates to reflect the latest plan
- Leads the site Planning, Operation, and Projects meetings
- Create a schedule: factoring in work orders, maintenance, new product development, inventory availability, capacity planning, and improvement opportunities
- Plan required production to ensure desired customer service levels, while maintaining adequate inventory levels and efficient manufacturing processes
- Ensure that process controls are in place that will allow accurate Cycle counting
- Work closely with Purchasing to ensure purchased material is available to meet the scheduled requirements
- Key point person for customer relations
- Ensures all customer purchase orders are entered and sales orders are created
- Provide key inputs to the Supply Segment of the monthly SIOP process
- Lead issue resolution when products are behind schedule or at risk to meet customer demand
- Drive process improvement by evaluating current processes and business challenges
- Identify and escalate material shortages and potential schedule interruptions
- Maintain ERP system integrity by defining parameters to ensure ERP system signal accuracy
- Create and maintain item master, BOM, and routers for new products, and raw materials
- Responsible for the assignment of bulk and intermediate part numbers
- Provides inputs to the sales forecasting process (LBs, Budget)
- Part of a cross-functional team to assist with the physical inventories
- Ability to meet with important stakeholders in circumstances involving conflicting demand to establish priorities.
- Develop, implement, and improve SOPs as required
- Must participate and successfully complete all cGMP & System training as required by the company
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent). A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration; APICS certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience preferred in Supply Chain:
- Master Planning
- Production Planning
- Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP)
- Capacity Management
- Risk Management
- Experience with and a demonstrable knowledge of an ERP system
- Fluent in MS Office
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; a strong team player
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles and operations
- Experience presenting and communicating with all levels of the organization
- Experience or familiarity with supply chain improvement strategies
- Works effectively under deadlines
- Upholds Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code
- Works in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, and customers
