Align ENT & Allergy is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a critical role in enhancing their experience in our practice. You will manage front desk operations, help create a welcoming atmosphere, and ensure seamless patient flow.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring an inviting environment.
- Handle check-in and check-out processes, ensuring that patient information is accurately recorded and updated.
- Schedule patient appointments effectively, managing the flow of the day’s schedule to maximize efficiency.
- Answer incoming calls, addressing inquiries and providing assistance to patients and their families.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations ahead of appointments.
- Assist patients with the completion of necessary paperwork and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the reception area and waiting room.
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth communication.
- Perform other clerical duties as needed, including data entry, filing, and faxing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a medical setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ideally familiar with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.
- Reliability and punctuality are crucial.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
