As a Metal Fabricator with Aardvark Studios…
You will work closely with our Project Management, Design, and Tech teams to help make ideas a reality for our clients. You’ll work on a variety of projects spanning mobile experiences, custom-fabricated assets, and museum-quality props and furnishings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
What makes you the ideal candidate:
- 5+ years of experience as a metal fabricator in a company (not freelance).
- Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding of all metals; certification a plus.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, tube weldments, and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret complex shop drawings.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, action-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work overtime on Fridays and weekends as needed.:

What else is helpful:
- Fabricate components using sheet metal, tube weldments, and machining techniques.
- Interpret and work from shop drawings to create custom metal components.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and organization in the workspace.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, accurately tracking time and resources for each.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks, requiring minimal supervision.
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards, working with a sense of urgency when needed.
- Maintain reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Experience with CNC machinery and programming.
- Knowledge of various metal types and their properties.
- Familiarity with modern fabrication tools and equipment.
- Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems related to fabrication.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials safely.
