About the Role:
We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team. The Process Engineer is encouraged to promote innovative and unconventional mineral processing solutions for the global mining industry in the most cost-effective and environmentally sustainable manner.
Responsibilities:
- Technical consultant to a broad range of international customers to determine proper applications for Eriez’ flotation equipment to suit customer needs.
- Manage flotation testing programs at Eriez’ global flotation laboratory including project management, data analysis, reporting, and presentation of results.
- Participate in pilot-scale test programs at customer sites in support of global capital equipment sales opportunities.
- Inspect equipment installation at customer sites, and participate in start-up and commissioning duties.
- Support North America aftermarket services including visits to customer sites and process assessments to optimize column performance and debottleneck circuit capacity.
- Determination of flotation flow sheets and circuit configuration, including sizing of Eriez’ flotation equipment.
- Preparation of process engineering deliverables for capital equipment orders, including P&IDs, instrument lists, instrument data sheets, control philosophy, instrument and spares list and review & approve instrument data sheets.
- Assist with product development and commercialization efforts in support of global product management organization.
- Assist in preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Assist in preparation of technical papers and presentations based on work conducted.
- Domestic and International Travel (Can be up to 25%, at times for up to 2 weeks).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, materials, etc.
- Familiar with mineral processing concepts (especially froth flotation), practices, and procedures
- Industry experience in an engineering and/or operations role gained through an internship or co-op program
- Good computer skills and familiarity with programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Autocad
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Able to communicate in other languages is an asset (e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin, etc.)
