Your Role:
- Ensure the provision and maintenance of safe, efficient, and cost-effective rotating equipment and systems to fulfill current operational demands.
- Prioritize machinery-related projects and drive enhancements to boost plant reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, operations, and mechanical staff to enhance operational excellence.
- Define specifications for new rotating equipment aligning with industry standards and company practices.
- Deliver technical training to enhance the skill set of mechanical and operations teams.
- Oversee quality assurance/control for onsite/offsite repairs and conduct vendor monitoring for major equipment overhauls.
- Regularly evaluate the performance of rotating equipment and support during plant start-ups, shutdowns, and unexpected operational disturbances.
Requirements
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, with at least 5 years of experience in handling industrial rotating equipment within the chemical or refinery sectors.
- Profound understanding of compressors (both reciprocating and centrifugal), pumps (reciprocating and centrifugal), fans, and blowers.
- Familiarity with key Industry Standards (e.g., API, ASME, PIP).
- Proven capability to juggle and prioritize multiple critical tasks.
- Recognized expertise as a Subject Matter Expert in Rotating Equipment, with a comprehensive knowledge base in the specified equipment and industry standards.
