As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be tasked with ensuring we meet the clients’ needs. We expect that you will use your full knowledge and skills to design, build, and maintain reliable lines of code, but also help develop the strategic plan for projects, and leave your mark to one of our most complex and enterprise projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience,
• Developing applications and building systems, using Test Driven Development in object-oriented or functional programming languages such as Java, Scala, JavaScript, Python, and C#,
• Design and deploy solutions with containerized microservices utilizing technologies such as AWS, Docker, Lambda, ECS, Thrift, and Finagle,
• Adopt an API-first approach to effectively address customer needs,
• Knowledge of high scale performance and optimization techniques,
• Help care for systems by keeping them up-to-date, adding features, refactoring code, and fixing bugs
• Collaborate with the team via code reviews and architecture discussions,
• Familiarity with and excited about Agile/XP software development practices for delivering projects,
• Experience collaborating and communicating with non-technical stakeholders,
• Experience mentoring engineers who are new to the profession

Nice to have:

• Consistency in the application of standards and processes
• AWS Certificate

Practical Details:

• 1099 Contract is offered
• The position is 100% remote within the US
• 6 months duration
• US based is a must
