HireResolve is currently partnering with a leading company in Warrington, PA renowned for its expertise in civil and structural engineering, to find a skilled individual to join the team as a Structural Department Manager.
As the leader of their Structural team, you'll oversee projects that leave a lasting imprint, spanning from bridges to buildings, thus influencing the environment for generations to come.
As a Structural Department Manager, your duties will include:
- Develop, manage, and mentor a team of Structural Engineers and Designers.
- Design and analyze both existing and proposed structures, such as bridges, culverts, buildings, and other infrastructure.
- Oversee all aspects of local, county, and state bridge projects, including securing permits.
- Conduct bridge inspections.
- Draft and present project proposals efficiently.
- Provide support throughout construction, including contract administration, project coordination, permitting, and budget management.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of project financials and ensure compliance with Division and Project financial objectives.
- Lead the growth and management of the Corporate Structural Engineering Discipline.
- Engage in local civic and professional organizations (e.g., chamber of commerce, ASCE, NSPE) to promote the Company.
- Foster the retention and development of client relationships.
Requirements
Desired Requirements and Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Pennsylvania is mandatory, with New Jersey registration preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in the field.
- Experience collaborating with local and state agencies.
- Prior involvement in PennDOT or Turnpike projects is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of building client relationships and securing projects.
- Exceptional skills in communication, business development, project management, and client relations.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a history of adhering to contractual requirements.
- Some familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous.
- Knowledge of structural design software, including PennDOT programs, is preferred.
