Full Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a leading company in Warrington, PA to find a skilled individual to join the team as a Survey Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for producing survey-related drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, you will work closely with seasoned surveyors and project managers, you'll be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting survey data. The projects you will work on encompass boundary and topography surveys, ALTA/ACSM surveys, construction stakeout, and utility as-built projects. As a Survey Technician, your duties will encompass a diverse array of tasks, including:
- Field Survey Assistance: Supporting survey teams in the field by operating and setting up survey equipment like total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors. This may involve traversing various landscapes to accurately record survey points.
- Data Gathering and Processing: Using survey instruments to measure distances, angles, and elevations, and documenting precise data for mapping and construction purposes. Additionally, you'll assist in processing collected data using CAD software and other relevant tools.
- Boundary and Property Surveys: Participating in boundary surveys to establish property lines, easements, and land boundaries in accordance with surveying standards.
- Topographic Surveys: Assisting in conducting topographic surveys to map natural and man-made features of a site, including contours, vegetation, structures, and utilities, to aid in engineering and development endeavors.
- Construction Layout: Aiding in the layout of construction sites by accurately marking reference points and benchmarks according to project specifications, ensuring alignment and elevation accuracy for contractors.
- Quality Control and Documentation: Assisting in quality control checks to verify the accuracy and integrity of survey data and documentation, maintaining organized records of field notes, sketches, and survey files.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations while working in the field, including proper use and maintenance of survey equipment and adherence to personal protective gear guidelines.
Requirements
College degree or technical school in Civil/Survey related field preferred.
- 3 plus years related Civil/Survey experience.
- Experience working with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Experience interfacing with survey field crews.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Goal oriented and highly organized.
- Desire and ability to learn new technologies.
- Self-motivated, team player
