Traffic Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Traffic Engineer in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques and principles, with the guidance of senior staff, to develop designs, reports, presentation materials, and other elements necessary for project success.
• Research design options and apply code provisions/standards.
• Work with senior engineers and planners, often involving multiple disciplines, to create designs that meet or exceed client needs.
• Perform engineering calculations and create cost estimates.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, supervisors, clients, and colleagues.
• Meet schedule, budget, and quality goals set by project managers.
• Work toward fluency in Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads and create plans, CADD models, etc.
• Field work conducted in collaboration with senior and project engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred but not required.
• 0-5 years of experience with interest in transportation/highway/traffic design.
• Previous internship experience and/or capstone project work pertaining to highway/traffic/railroad engineering preferred.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Some experience working with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and other software packages is preferred.
• Previous experience with Traffic analysis software is a plus.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD and other transportation publications.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task.
