Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a motivated and self-driven Bioprocess Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a background in Life Sciences or STEM. Responsibilities:
- Cell Culture and Downstream Purification: Support the execution of process studies using pilot-scale equipment (200L, 300L, and 500L). This includes working with bioreactors (both stainless steel and single use), chromatography skids, and filtration systems.
- Routine Tasks: Prepare equipment for operations (Clean-In-Place and Steam-In-Place), compound media and buffer solutions, perform aseptic operations, and collect in-process samples using laboratory analyzers.
- Scientific Principles: Apply scientific principles during experiments and analyze experimental data.
- Documentation: Document data and process information following good documentation practices.
- Safety and Compliance: Perform laboratory safety evaluations and minor equipment maintenance. Maintain laboratory standards with a focus on safety and quality.
- Collaborate with the team to execute cell culture, harvest, and downstream purification process studies.
- Maintain laboratory standards, ensuring safety and quality.
- Contribute to the success of the team by following established plans and procedures.
Requirements
Top 3 Must-Have Skill Sets:
- Knowledge of process data compilation and analysis.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.'
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science OR
- Associates degree and 1 year of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting OR
- High school/GED and 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting
- Ability to work weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior hands-on experience in pilot- or large-scale cell culture or downstream purification process development or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with automated computer-controlled biopharmaceutical equipment.
- Knowledge of process data compilation and analysis.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
