Job Summary
Praecipio is currently looking to hire a Senior IT Project Manager in Providence, Rhode Island to work with one of our clients who is implementing both Workday Finance and HCM ERP modules. This is a full-time role working for Praecipio but will spending a majority of working hours with one client.
The ERP Finance Project Manager will work with the implementation vendor and Project Management team to manage the implementation of Workday modules. The Project Manager monitors the ERP Program Management Plan, including project objectives and success criteria, deliverables, role/responsibilities/contact information, document control methodology, and risk, cost, schedule, and quality management plans. They work with multiple project managers and business analysts to ensure clear documentation of business, functional, technical, and performance requirements that are understood without ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Maintain master documentation of overall system functionality.
- Manage multiple workstreams with multiple vendors and State stakeholders.
- Work with multiple project managers and vendor teams to ensure
timely and coordinated delivery of deliverables and various portions of the
project. - Maintain integrated, master schedule and monitor timely completion of tasks
- Document the application support procedures, business processes and workflows for internal and external users.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation is developed and maintained by the vendor.
- Create and update weekly status reports.
- Document and report on changes in scope of the project and ensure change control process.
- Communicate delays and obstacles that may compromise or delay the project.
- Manage budget and financial process of the program.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings and distribute meeting meetings, in coordination with vendor.
- Oversee testing and validation of the system to ensure successful completion of configuration, regression, performance testing as well as planning of User Acceptance Testing.
- Work with Change Management and Agency Readiness teams to ensure training, delivery, and implementation of the ERP project.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with management or IT consulting firm; or similar
industry. - Recent Finance implementation on a tier one ERP solution, preferably Workday.
- Demonstrated experience on working on large implementation projects with
multiple vendors. - Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated leadership managing people.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management in multiple agencies.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and time
management skills (ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines). - Experience in project management tools (JIRA and Confluence) and collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams and SharePoint) preferred.
- Prior State or Government experience a plus.
- Project Management certification a plus.

Salary range: $105,000-$120,000
Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include the company bonus or benefits.
