City Wide Facility Solutions is the largest management company in the building maintenance industry, facilitating janitorial and more than 20 additional maintenance services for every client. But we do more than manage maintenance services for commercial facilities – we pride ourselves on being a partner that helps save time and solve problems! We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of facility and equipment specifications and maintenance requirements.
- Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
- Overseeing the implementation of facility various systems and quality controls.
- Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
- Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation.
- Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Coordinating and escorting of contractors performing maintenance activities after FAA clearance.
- Perform daily, biweekly, monthly and periodic maintenance.
- Perform light duty repairs and maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical and mechanical.
- Promptly respond to deficiencies and immediately address all emergency situations.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
- Share management and oversight duties with the Day Porter over janitorial and escorted staff.
- Assist with janitorial staff during downtimes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, preferred but not required.
- At least 3 years of experience as facilities engineer or in a similar role.
- Must be able to pass full background screening and maintain background clearance.
- Understand and maintain secured areas and not enter without appropriate escort and supervision based on security clearance level.
- Standard shift will be 8 hours; however, ability to work nights and weekends for special maintenance and emergencies is required.
- Experience with MS Office and review of building plans. AutoCAD is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Project management skills.
- Failure to follow all rules, regulations and maintain security clearance is terms for immediate removal.
