Full Job Description
As a Field Engineer, you will be a vital part of our project team, providing engineering and technical support on a job site. Working closely with project leaders, your role is to ensure that we meet contract requirements and safety standards and maintain high-quality work. Your engineering expertise will play a vital role in the success of our projects!
Project Site Management:
- Manages the Requests for Information (RFI) process, including specification and project documentation reviews, visual examinations, and documentation creation for issues, potential changes, and contract change orders.
- Prepare cost estimates for change order submission and negotiation with client.
- Tracks and reports production quantities to project control and management functions.
- Manages the preparation of construction and installation work packages for assigned disciplines.
- Performs walk-downs to monitor the progress of work packages.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Focus:
- Incorporates Health, Safety, and Environmental considerations into all project documentation and site activities.
- Acts as a role model for safety excellence and participates in developing job hazard analyses.
Engineering Support and Collaboration:
- Participates in project team meetings, contributing engineering input to project-related decisions.
- Develop solid relationships and partners with the superintendent(s) to provide clear and timely technical/engineering support for field execution work.
- Interacts regularly with customers, engineers, and subcontractors to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, and cost considerations into site issue resolutions.
- Assists in turnover processes with construction and startup/commissioning teams, providing proper documentation related to the project.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or relative experience.
- One plus year(s) of field or project engineering experience.
- Experience in starting up and commissioning power/industrial plants or systems preferred.
- Experience utilizing InEight software (Plan, Control, Document & Compliance Modules) or comparable construction management software in a project field assignment role.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam software.
- Understanding of basic engineering calculations.
- Understanding of project costing and scheduling fundamentals.

The base pay range for this Civil Field Engineer role is $85,260.00 to $94,240.00 annually.
