Salary: $63,000 - £99,000
This position involves taking call one night a week with rotating weekend call. A 30-minute response time is required when on call. Under the supervision of the Director of Surgery, the Surgical Services RN is responsible for planning, delegating, and coordinating the provision of nursing care for assigned patients. The RN ensures that standards of care are met, manages staff (LPNs, ORTs/CSTs, Nursing Assistants, Secretary), and oversees the department’s supplies and equipment. The RN collaborates with ancillary departments and healthcare team members to achieve patient goals while maintaining high-quality care. They handle surgery preparations, perform the circulating role, and assist physicians as needed.
The RN also demonstrates the skills necessary to provide care for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Our client values creating a positive, supportive, and safe work environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for specific patient populations
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Supervise and assign tasks to LPNs, ORTs/CSTs, and Nursing Assistants
- Prepare and administer medications; supervise administration in the sterile field
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation
- Maintain a safe environment, following safety and infection control policies
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Function in scrub and/or circulating roles in surgery
- Restock rooms and notify appropriate personnel of low supplies
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Surgery
Requirements
- Valid SC Nursing License
- Prior OR experience required
