Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and counseling to victims of crime
- Assist victims in navigating the criminal justice system
- Coordinate with law enforcement and legal service providers
- Educate victims about their rights and available resources
- Develop and implement personalized safety plans for victims
- Facilitate support groups and workshops for victims
- Maintain accurate records and case files for reporting and assessment purposes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field
- Experience in victim advocacy or community support services
- Strong understanding of the legal and social services systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
