Hand Cut Chophouse Nashville is currently looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team!
We're searching for a candidate who can:
- Support and manage the restaurant’s daily operations, including front and back of house.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to maintain high standards of service and food quality.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring efficient coverage.
- Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members to enhance performance and engagement.
- Ensure health, safety, and cleanliness regulations are followed in accordance with company policies and local laws.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints to ensure an excellent dining experience.
- Support inventory management and collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain adequate supplies.
- Monitor financial performance, including labor costs, to optimize profitability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus!
- At least 1+ years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant setting.
- TABC Server Permit required per local law.
- Knowledge in front and back of house operations, including food preparation, service standards, health regulations, and safety protocols.
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences, resolving complaints effectively, and maintaining a positive atmosphere.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage staff schedules and labor costs effectively.
- Effective time management and adaptability skills to handle various tasks.
- Ability to identify problems quickly and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems, scheduling software) and Google Suite.
