About the Role:
In the role of Business Analyst, you will engage with a variety of stakeholders from our customers to understand workflows, identify business needs and document requirements. You will guide product development by collaborating closely with product managers, technical leads, project managers and subject matter experts.
Your initial focus will be on helping us evolve the supply chain and logistics capabilities of AssistIQ’s software solution. You’ll focus on doing your best work to create a real impact with a team of like-minded people, developing scalable and efficient processes that help us deliver for our customers.

We would expect you to comfortably move between hospital teams (e.g. nurses, physicians, administrators/managers, supply chain etc.) and internal teams (e.g. project managers, product owners, engineers). Teamwork, professionalism, confidentiality, and communication are essential.
Given the dynamic nature of startup life, the role of the Business Analyst is dynamic with priorities evolving regularly.
Note that this role is full time but may be structured as a contract to hire.
Reporting to: Thierry Wong, Chief Technology Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Work with different internal and external stakeholders to understand and document user workflow, hospital systems, business requirements and non-functional requirements.
- Create documentation including user stories, process flows, and functional specifications; with clear acceptance criteria for user stories
- Work with product managers to prioritize the product backlog based on customer needs, project scope and product vision
- Analyze and understand the requirements into functional requirement specifications.
- Validate solution design and conduct solution reviews with multiple external stakeholders including business users and technology partners.
- Work effectively with the product and engineering teams to help them understand the specifications/requirements for technical development, testing, and implementation.
- Collaborate closely with the internal QA team to perform test preparation, test case review and test case execution. Ensure appropriate testing is conducted in accordance to the requirements to ensure delivery quality.
- Validate and document the platform installation, setup and training guides.
- Lead the customer user acceptance testing for new releases.
- Support end-to-end product implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to the product implementation team.
- Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of business analysis experience
- 3+ years of business analysis experience in supply chain/logistics and ERP systems
- 2+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience in healthcare an asset
- Solid understanding of software development process
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize diverse business requirements, and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Proven client-facing, partnership and presentation skills
- Strong facilitation, planning, organization and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated capability for strategic thinking, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time with a flexible schedule
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Business or science field preferred or equivalent degree
- Valid driver’s license and Passport
