Full Job Description
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Litigation Attorney. As a Construction Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in construction-related legal matters, including contract disputes, construction defect claims, and insurance coverage disputes.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of construction litigation, including client communication, legal research, case strategy development, and court appearances.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
- Conduct discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends in the construction field.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external experts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience litigating construction claims in court and arbitration settings such as those dealing with design error, work quality, delay, job cost accounting, or surety bond related disputes
- Candidates must possess strong academic credentials, have excellent communication and writing skills, have excellent drafting skills, and will work as part of a close-knit team.
- Juris Doctorate degree required.
- Admission to practice law in Tennessee is mandatory.
