Crate-Skid Builder

F. L. Crane & Sons, Inc. an employee-owned specialty contractor with over 75 years of experience covering a wide range of finishing, metal panel systems and custom crating. We are based out of Fulton MS and operate 14 divisions throughout the southeastern part of the US. • Construct wooden crates using wood, nails, and nail guns & staple guns
• Make sure returnable skids are in good condition (Repair when needed)
• Maintain a steady workflow by following procedures accurately and timely
• Perform duties with minimal supervision
• Keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Perform assigned duties with quality in mind
• Follow all company instructions, safety policies, and rules
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
• Operate a forklift (as needed)

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
• Prior Manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Prior Woodworking experience (preferred)

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Ability to follow verbal instructions
• Ability to read color labels and identify products
• Ability to read tape measure
• Ability to use saw, nail guns, and other hand tools
• Basic math skills
• Forklift training
• Ability to count
