The Environmental Compliance Writer will be a key asset in our mission to secure and execute projects with our federal clients. This role demands a unique blend of writing prowess and a solid understanding of environmental compliance principles. You will be responsible for crafting detailed, compelling proposals, reports, and technical documents that highlight our strengths and commitment to environmental stewardship. - Write, edit, and refine technical proposals, reports, and documentation related to environmental projects and compliance initiatives for the Department of Energy, NASA, and the Department of Defense.
- Collaborate with environmental scientists, project managers, and compliance specialists to ensure accurate representation of our capabilities and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Analyze and interpret federal solicitations and environmental regulations to guide the development of compliant and persuasive proposal content.
- Manage documentation projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements and internal quality standards.
- Maintain and update a library of technical documentation, including standard templates, project summaries, and compliance guidelines.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in environmental compliance and technical writing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- At least 1 year of Environmental Compliance experience, preferably with exposure to federal contracting.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documents, proposals, and reports.
- Deep understanding of environmental regulations, compliance requirements, and sustainability practices.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing deadlines and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with documentation software.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
