1 Resource Group is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Field Service Mechanic that is DOT certifiable to join our esteemed client's team. The selected candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery primarily in the Nashville, TN area. This role is essential to ensuring the reliable performance of equipment such as forklifts, generators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions in heavy machinery.
- Execute repairs and maintenance tasks on various types of heavy equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment operates at optimal levels.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance services, and parts utilized.
- Coordinate with equipment operators to identify and resolve any operational concerns.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Travel to customer locations for service calls and repairs as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Field Service Mechanic or a similar position.
- Strong mechanical and technical knowledge of heavy equipment.
- Proficiency in hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Exemplary problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- D.O.T. certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
