Plant Financial Analyst
Location: Mascot, TN
Join Our Team as a Plant Financial Analyst!
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plant Financial Analyst to support our Plant Controller in various financial activities. This role is crucial in driving the financial performance of our North American Rail plants (Mascot, Ogden, Lenexa) and ensuring sound economic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and KPI reports in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Collaborate with the Plant Controller and Management Team to provide a clear and accurate financial overview of plant performance.
- Support the business planning process, setting productivity and cost targets for manufacturing and sourcing operations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly rolling forecasts and provide insights on major variances.
- Provide financial guidance for plant capital investments and business case justifications.
- Develop and maintain accurate cost data for all products, aiding in new product development and business opportunities.
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
- Support internal and external audits, completing tasks independently and communicating results effectively.
- Travel to satellite locations as needed, mainly for annual physical inventory.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in cost accounting.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in variance analysis and root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in plant accounting.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools.
