Job Title: Food Safety/Quality Assurance Supervisor
Are you passionate about food safety and quality? Join our team as a Food Safety/Quality Assurance Supervisor at our well-respected poultry processing plant in Monterey, TN! In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance Champion: Lead the ongoing development and implementation of SSOP and HACCP plans to not only meet USDA regulations but also exceed company and customer expectations for food safety.
- Meticulous Monitoring: Keep a close eye on production SSOP and HACCP records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with our stringent standards.
- GMP Guru: Daily monitoring of plant GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other essential prerequisite programs to maintain top-notch quality.
- Proactive Problem Solver: Identify potential issues before they escalate by utilizing tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC) and trending analysis.
- Audit Ace: Conduct thorough audits of all SSOP and HACCP records, providing valuable feedback to management for continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Expertise: Maintain a positive relationship with the USDA and stay up-to-date with the latest regulations related to SSOP and HACCP programs.
- Training Leader: Take charge of training and documenting the training of plant associates at all levels on SSOP and HACCP programs.
- Scientific Validation: Perform annual validations of scientific data that support our facility's food safety decisions.
- Hands-On Problem Solver: Be ready to dive into food safety challenges as they arise during your shift, and develop effective solutions and preventive measures.
Working Hours: First Shift (6 am - 3 pm)

Requirements
:
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as Food Science, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Operations Management, Biology, or Chemistry is required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- HACCP certification.
- In-depth knowledge of USDA regulations, including GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and labeling.
- Experience conducting food safety audits in a plant setting.
