IT Helpdesk Technician (Temporary - 6 Month Contract to Hire)

Location: Knoxville, TN (On-site)

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Position Type: Temporary (6 Month Contract to Hire)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated IT Helpdesk Technician for a 6-month contract to hire position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch IT support to our staff, ensuring smooth technical operations. This role requires a solid understanding of Windows environments and experience with Office 365 user setup and password management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows computer systems and peripherals.
  • Assist with Office 365 user setup and password management.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, issues, and resolutions using the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Follow up with end-users to ensure issues are fully resolved and provide excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience as an IT Helpdesk Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Office 365 user setup and password management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification.
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.
