Our Client + The Role:
The Gym Manager position is the most important and influential leadership position within our client's model. The Manager is fully responsible for the assigned gym’s leadership, daily operations, acquisition, retention, administration and achieving goals. Daily operations are executed through a servant-hearted, growth mindset, effective communication, organization and delegation. This leader never settles for the status quo as personal development and developing the the gym's team is a priority. The manager embodies all the brand’s Core Values both professionally and personally as well as the Company’s Leadership Pact.

Must also LOVE giving customers EXCEPTIONAL service and an amazing experience to keep them coming back. Must greet all clients BY NAME when they walk in. Must have sales aptitude, skillful conflict resolution and high emotional intelligence. Must not be selfish or self-centered. Must understand that this is a business. ● > 3 years in functional fitness gym model as a Coach, Sales and/or Leader
● Complete and/or maintain any degrees or certifications required to perform the role in the model
● Complete and pass the CPP and C101
● Achieve and maintain > 80% TCR score within 2 survey periods from your start date
● Workout in group classes with athletes 2-3x a week
● Proficient in Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides, etc. and Apple OS
● Proficient in social media apps: Facebook, Instagram and any others necessary for the model
● Be comfortable opening up/closing the gym location for the day by yourself.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Development:
● Communicate clear instructions to team members
● Help formulate financial and operational goals for gym
● Inspire individuals and motivate teamwork for achieving the gyms’ goals
- Recognize and acknowledge the skills of key team members and utilize their strengths to the benefit of the team
- Listen to team members' feedback
● Hold direct reports accountable for their assigned activities
- Monitor team members' participation to ensure the training they are being provided is applied
- Identify barriers to success and create solutions for people, systems, processes to achieve the gym’s goals
● Execute company meeting rhythm to ensure all team members stay informed:
- Lead 1-on-1 staff evaluations
- Lead weekly gym level staff meetings
- Attend/participate in monthly Company staff meetings
- Participate in quarterly Planning Meetings
● Mediate disagreements between athletes or team members
- Set a behavioral code if necessary
- Involve direct leader as needed
● Never post images that celebrate or show consumption of alcohol or extreme cheat meals on social media
● Never consume alcohol or cheat meals wearing company apparel
At the Gym:
● Wear your uniform
● Avoid profanity -- keep it professional
● No romantic relationships with co-workers or athletes at your gym location (spouses excepted)
Administration:
● Manage the flow of day-to-day operations and client accounts
- Daily billing of packages, front end offers and non-training items
● Monitor and control expenses within the allotted budget
- Approve gym level expenses up to $500
- Get approval from your direct leader for amounts over $500
● Ensure that all tracking for acquisition and retention is completed accurately
● Collaborate with the direct supervisor and/or owners to ensure gym location lives up to brand standards on reporting, customer service
● Keep promotional materials and in-store displays aligned with current initiatives
● Oversee point of sale inventory levels and make sure new items are ordered when required
● Perform initial PRIME assessments
● Staff & schedule:
- Schedule full-time team members, cover coaches and other available personnel to deliver the model successfully
- Set gym schedule at least 2 weeks in advance (ideally 30 days in advance)
● Coach classes and sessions as necessary
Retention:
● Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
● Deal with all issues that arise from athletes (complaints, grievances, inquiries, etc.)
- Respond as soon as is practical (within 24 hours at the latest)
- Move confrontations off email/text to phone call or in person
- Prevent any athlete from having to contact the gym multiple times due to lack of response
● Listen to athlete feedback
- Review NetPromoter™ Score (currently Listen360 platform) system reports weekly
- Respond to negative feedback and update NPS system within 24 hours
● Oversee delivery and delegation of the systems for the ultimate athlete experience
● Ensure gym facility is maintained clean, safe and orderly
- Keep gym equipment is kept in good working condition and repaired ASAP
- Keep commonly used spare parts in stock
- Give direct leader notice/ask for assistance if longer than 3 business days to resolve or repair any issue
Acquisition:
● Sell any in-person, call-ins or referral leads front end offers and/or long term training packages
● Ask for referral(s) in EVERY consult using approved scripts and frameworks
● Work with Sales & Marketing team members to maximize online video chat sales for your gym
● Find solutions for athletes to upgrade to the package that is right for them and their goals
● Implement/execute all current marketing strategies
Time Off:
● Minimum of 2 weeks in advance for any requests
● Cannot take off during same dates as other full-time team members at your gym -- priority given in order of approved requests (must get approval before making any travel plans)
● Prior to being gone, prep team members with tasks, expectations, happenings, help needed in your
absence
● Classes covered by one or a combination of the following (in order of preference):
- Trained/Approved Cover Coach
- A Coach teammate from another company gym
- Coach at your gym
■ Manager can adjust hours of the Coach to compensate some of the time covered
Sick Time Protocol:
● Contact Direct Leader immediately
- Area Manager (if applicable) will coordinate coverage
● Self or Other Solution
● Turn in Sick-Time form when you return to work (TBD) Hours
● > 40 hours per week Monday-Saturday. Closed Sunday.
● In addition to regular hours; this position also expected to attend and assist at all events, challenges, staff meetings, and additional training or coaching workshops.
● Hours may vary slightly from week to week based on current gym offerings or needs.
Notice:
● We all hope and plan for long & successful careers with the Company. However, if you ever decide to leave the Company, both the nature of our model and the best interest of our clients require a minimum of 45-days notice to your direct leader in the chain of command. 90-days notice or longer is preferred.

Compensation:
● Base Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000 per year
● Incentive Plan: Gym Manager Incentive Plan
