AAC is currently looking for a Chief Systems Engineer to join an already high-performing team of engineers and architects. This position is a key member of the AAC Leadership Team and will be responsible for ensuring deliverable quality and mentoring engineers across all AAC business areas.
The successful candidate will:
- Review deliverables for quality prior to submission to customers.
- Have demonstrated expertise in requirements management; reliability, availability, and maintainability assessments;
- Have demonstrated experience leading and mentoring other engineers and architects across multiple engineering disciplines
- Have demonstrated expertise in DOE O 413.3B, Phase Six, or DODD 5000.01 Acquisition Lifecycle processes
This position may be performed remotely from anywhere in the continental US; however, candidates located within commuting distance of Oak Ridge, TN; Aiken, SC; or Amarillo, TX are preferred.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering Discipline
- US citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
- Expert interpersonal skills
- Prior experience managing acquisitions programs with DOD or DOE acquisition lifecycles (i.e., DOE O 413.3B or DODD 5000.01)
- Extensive knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and Engineering Logistics disciplines
- Available to travel up to 50% of the time
- 15+ years of prior work experience showing progressively increasing responsibility
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Advanced Degree in Engineering
- Prior experience within National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) laboratories and sites
- Familiarity with requirements tools such as IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation and simulation packages
- Professional Engineering License
