Sr. Designer - Contract (4 Months)

The Home Edit is a full-service home organization company, a global lifestyle brand, with a line of consumer products, and a media + content creation studio. Co-Founders Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin started their organizing business the day they met six years ago with a singular vision: combine home organization with a unique design aesthetic and share it with the world. Their blend of form and function resonated with millions, they are the stars of the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Get Organized with The Home Edit, the authors of three New York Times’ best-selling books, the creators of multiple product lines sold in retail locations around the world, and operate organizing branches in cities throughout the country.

The Opportunity:

The Home Edit, is seeking a highly motivated self-starter who is wildly passionate about design and has a portfolio full of original work to show it. They will be comfortable across all mediums and can deliver creative solutions ranging from smaller asks, such as social media content, all the way to broad briefs such as packaging designs and branding. 

Best-in-class branding and design chips with an exceptional eye for detail are required as is being highly conceptual. This is an exciting role within a fast-paced and highly creative environment.  

This position is preferred for onsite in Nashville, TN.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate and work cross-functionally with The Home Edit’s Marketing, Creative & Content teams to manage multiple design projects at once
• Adhere to, maintain, and enhance The Home Edit’s brand and branding across owned and operated touchpoints and all marketing assets
• Design original and best-in-class creative for all mediums including print, marketing materials, digital assets, email marketing templates, social media, web, packaging, collateral, events, branded content etc, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding
• Establish creative approach to new-to-market merchandise and template materials
• Oversee and maintain ownership of work from concept through to execution
• Lead design for presentation pitch decks
• Work across multichannel marketing campaigns, including paid media, experiential, book publishing, IP launches, influencer marketing, and commerce.
• Collaborate with external creative and media agencies as needed.
• Foster and participate in the overall The Home Edit and Hello Sunshine values and vision.

Requirements

• 5-7 years experience in as a designer or art director at a graphic design house, brand, or ad agency
• A strong portfolio of consumer facing work
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, etc.)
• Illustration and Motion Graphic skills a plus
• Expertise in both Powerpoint and Keynote
• Self-starter and creative thinker with astute attention to detail, you are proactive and able to work on tight deadlines, you take initiative. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines.
• Well-versed in current and emerging social platforms, their products and trends.
• Positive, collaborative team player. 
• Bachelor's degree in Design or similar field

This is a full time (40 hours a week) contract position for 4 months with a hybrid working model of 3 days in office.
