We are looking for a junior or entry-level Account Representative to increase our Sales team’s representation and scalability in the field, particularly within the small business sector. Reporting into the VP, Sales Operations, your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers and leads provided through our partner plans. To be successful in this role, you should have either previous experience developing leads or strong industry experience in healthcare foodservice. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until hand off. A day in the life as an Account Representative:  

  • Manage growth of designated territory for new MealSuite business opportunities: 
    • Follow up on leads and prospect for new opportunities 
    • Represent, promote, and demonstrate MS products and value proposition to prospective clients 
    • Generate quotations, price proposals, and contracts 
    • Coordinate sales efforts with MS channel partners per partner terms 
    • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships 
  • Follow processes for data input and usage in Salesforce 
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows as needed 
  • Assist in expediting the resolution of customer issues and complaints to maximize satisfaction 
  • Assist with marketing efforts as requested 
  • Supply management with feedback on industry trends, needs, interests, competitive activity, and potential for new products and services 

In the first 6 months, you’ll be successful at reaching these milestones: 

  • Craft an annual territory plan and update as required. 

If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, this role could be for you: 

  • I have some experience in a SaaS environment 
  • I ideally have experience as a BDR/SDR or direct sales experience 
  • I have had exposure to sales/CRM systems 
  • I have knowledge of or am willing to learn about healthcare, institutional foodservice operations, and senior living industry  
  • I have strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA 
  • I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate 
  • I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
