Allen Survey - High School Internship

The High School Survey Internship is offered in partnership with the Allen ISD STEM Center. During this internship, you will join an established and growing survey group, providing an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience. You will perform a variety of field surveys using advanced robotic and GPS equipment, allowing you to develop practical skills and knowledge in the field of surveying.

Responsibilities/Expectations: Responsibilities include:

• Assist and shadow survey crew members in conducting field surveys using robotic and/or GPS equipment.
• Help with data collection and entry for survey projects.
• Support the survey team in preparing and organizing survey documents and reports.
• Learn and apply basic surveying principles and techniques.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills.

• Unloading and organizing supplies
• Other duties & assignments as directed

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in high school Allen ISD STEM program.
• Strong interest in surveying, geography, or related fields.
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
