Full Job Description
UWorld is looking for experienced AP science teachers to develop video lectures for students preparing to take the AP Exam in either Biology or Chemistry. This is an independent contractor position, where you will work on a team of video lecturers in several disciplines to create video content that accompanies UWorld’s educational materials.

Minimum education required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry, biology, physics, or a related field
Minimum experience required
- Experience teaching 1 or more of the following Advanced Placement courses in a high school setting (2+ years preferred)
- AP Biology
- AP Chemistry
- Experience making educational videos or lectures (1+ year)
- Experience in science communication is a plus
Required skills
- Passion for education and learning
- Ability to communicate difficult scientific concepts clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats
- Ability to think strategically and analytically and transform conceptual ideas into a finished visually appealing product
- Focus on meeting project deadlines
- Proven history of working independently while operating within a team environment
- Ability to provide and receive feedback positively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
- Ability to make rudimentary screen recordings of lectures that can be sent to a video production team for final development
Job responsibilities
Reports to the Team Lead of Video Content in the creation of AP science video lectures
- Write cohesive scripts and develop slideshows for video lectures
- Produce preliminary video recordings of video lectures
- Receive and apply constructive feedback on video lectures
- Give constructive feedback on video content created by other lecturers
- Work with video production team to deliver a finished product
- Collaborate with management to ensure project deadlines are met

- Remote position with occasional visits to our Dallas office to finalize recordings
