This role will be responsible for the South Central US, Region for CVRx and to be considered you must live in that region to be considered.
A day in the life:
The Area Sales Director leads and coordinates CVRx personnel within their region to ensure regional goals are met or exceeded. Key responsibilities include driving Barostim market growth, supporting commercial sites, leading patient recruitment efforts, and managing a team of Regional Managers and Clinical Sales Representatives. The Director builds strong relationships with key stakeholders, provides technical support, identifies high-performing commercial accounts, and facilitates training programs. This role requires leadership in market development, relationship-building, and driving the successful adoption of CVRx’s therapy in the region.
Requirements
What we expect from you:
- BS in health sciences, engineering, or business.
- 3 or more years of experience in direct or indirect use of medical devices (e.g., in cath lab, in clinical monitoring) or other relevant field experience within the medical device field.
- 5 or more years in sales or business development in Class III medical device sales, building relationships and contacts the areas of heart-failure, CHF, Cardiovascular surgery therapeutic devices and/or neuromodulation.
- 3 or more years of experience leading a team of medical device sales representatives (class III preferred).
- 50-75% travel, annually.
What we would like to see:
- Demonstrable and established relationships and contacts the areas of class III medical device sales in heart-failure, CHF, Cardiovascular surgery and/or neuromodulation in the required region or territory.
- Strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness with key customer groups (physicians and staff, CVRx clinical and engineering staff) in order to clearly and succinctly demonstrate and explain product therapy.
- Strong relationship development with clinical investigators and customers in the cardiology and/or cardiac surgery area.
- Ability to proficiently make group presentations, follow-up, and in-service visits.
- Understanding and ability to conduct site and physician training.
- Ability to answer technical questions related to tips, techniques, and help physicians with problem solving during cases.
- Knowledge of market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, and advantages/disadvantages as they relate to CVRx’s devices.
- Ability to interact with research and development to represent customer perspective in order to provide input on product enhancements and new product development.
- Skills in planning and time management.
- Ability to express ideas clearly.
- Ability to interpret clinical data, issues, and feedback.
- Team player with entrepreneurial passion. Hands-on style.
- Ability to see both the short- and long-term vision of the company and products.

Working conditions:

- This position will require interfacing with multiple internal departments and physician investigators.
- Must be able to lift up to10 lbs.
- Ability to travel 50-75% plus.
