Job Description:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate is a detailed problem solver with excellent communication skills, leadership, and a strong executive presence. The Chief of Staff will act as the first point of contact for our executive team. This person will drive alignment, execution, clarity, and accountability across the executive team to ensure a stable operating environment during a period of change and extremely rapid growth. This position will ensure the organization's leadership team is operating efficiently and successfully. This will be a highly visible role within the organization that will be key to the company's success. This role can be based in Houston, TX or Brooklyn, NY.
- Support the CEO by streamlining operations and organizational growth in line with the mission and vision.
- Serve as the primary point of connectivity across functional areas, such as strategy, operations, R&D, product development, manufacturing, and administration.
- Build trusted relationships across the business, understand internal dynamics and issues, and identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Enhance interdepartmental cooperation to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.
- Serve as a conduit between executive management and diverse teams to improve workflow and unify objectives.
- Support the advancement of organizational changes by overseeing smooth transitions, handling communications, and tackling emerging obstacles.
- Lead and manage key strategic projects and initiatives, from inception to completion. Coordinate and communicate project timelines, deliverables, and progress across relevant teams.
- Able to dig deep to discover the root cause of internal challenges, develop solutions, and execute accordingly.
- In partnership with the CEO, develop a data-informed, consistent, and cohesive communication style to advance organizational goals.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, reports, and updates for both internal and external audiences.
- Manage CEO time efficiency and be able to prioritize among internal and external conflicting schedules.
Requirements
The minimum requirements we seek:
- 10 plus years of management or leadership experience, preferably as a COS to a CEO.
- KPI and organizational framework management expertise required.
- Successful track record of collaborating and building relationships with diverse stakeholders across levels (including executive management), functions, and backgrounds within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with a board of directors and outside investors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment providing structure and direction.
- Proficiency - working with evolving technologies ranging from MS Office, and Slack to various other SaaS solutions.
- Humility, self-awareness, and adaptability are prerequisites to being successful at Amogy.
