Construction Forklift Operator - Skilled Laborer

With over 20 years of experience amongst the senior management, Pearl Builders delivers a wide variety of projects. We manage projects from construction to property management encompassing a complete design/build. Our work ranges from the management and development of completely new builds, refurbishments, and fit outs for Companies.

We are currently looking to add a motivated individual that can work in a fast-paced environment to join our Construction team in Dallas.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare floors/walls for installations.
• Assisting to install tiles in various construction areas.
• Operates forklift to load and unload trucks as directed by supervisor.
• Operate Scissor lift for construction related tasks.
• Assists other Yard/Forklift operators with manually picking items such as: Drywall, mud, tape, steel, etc.
• Assisting in maintenance and light repairs.
• Perform routine landscaping on the grounds.
• Assisting in paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
• Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g., build cabinets)
• Assisting in repair equipment or appliances
• Assist in electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs.
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g., shoveling snow)
• Identify and report the need for major repairs.
• Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, trailers, and platforms manually.
• Examine and inspect incoming and outgoing items for accuracy, wears and defects and report any issues to supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• Lifting required up to 40lbs - 50lbs
• Valid Forklift operator license required.
• Valid Driving license required.
• Able to Drive Scissor lift would be an asset.
• Able to work at heights for construction related work.
• Sound knowledge of construction and practical experience with tools.
• A good understanding of safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn and be flexible.
• Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work full-time
