Full Job Description
Automotive wiring company. They have been in this region for 30+ years, and are going through growth in this region, thus, adding this position to assist the current controller. This position will be responsible for a local distribution center and a manufacturing plant in the Midwest. Also, US Corporate Tax return reviews, forecasts, and estimated tax payments. Responsible for gathering information for insurance policies and liaison between broker and Corporate Insurance department.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the financial reporting analysis for two support locations (Warren Ohio
and El Paso Distribution Center). Also support consolidations of the Wiring locations for
month end close, budgets and forecasts. Responsible for the Corporate Tax return
reviews, forecasts, and estimated tax payments. Responsible for gathering information
for insurance policies and liaison between broker and Corporate Insurance department.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manufacturing plant and a Distribution Center
▪ Review results and support analysis of cost centers. Review for required
adjustments to allocations based on actual data on a quarterly basis.
▪ Support Hyperion reporting process for Wiring entities
• Wiring Group entity financial reporting and analysis
▪ Support in the review of monthly reporting and financial analysis for the
Wiring Group
• Monthly financial analysis to include trend analysis, comparison
of budgets/forecasts to actuals, identification of cost savings and
bridge information.
• Input and review of the Wiring monthly operating report
• Provide ad hoc analysis as requested to the Group Controller
Global Wiring
▪ Provide corporate tax estimates, estimated tax payments and review of
tax returns and application of journal entries.
▪ Participate in monthly financial statement review process.
▪ Participate in review of balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Support consolidation of budgets/forecasts information and provide analysis as
required. Preparation or review of the required schedules.
Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Bachelors of Science or Administration degree in Accounting
• 10+ years accounting / technical accounting experience, plus
• CPA or MBA professional certification, preferred
• JD Edwards and Hyperion consolidation system experience, plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish
Experience in a manufacturing environment, cost accounting, budgets, financial reporting, analysis, etc.
MUST have experience preparing and submitting US Corporate Taxes.
Experience with corporate insurance policies and comfort as liaison between broker and Corporate Insurance department.
