Xenon7 is looking to hire Data Scientists with extensive background in the Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry who will use in-depth knowledge of the industry and AI applications within the industry to design and craft masterpiece solutions for our clients and navigate each project to the finish line with absolute excellence and professionalism.

A Data Scientist in the field of Healthcare and Life Sciences possesses knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas such as:

• Predictive Analytics and Clinical Decision Support: developing AI models to assist healthcare professionals with treatment planning, risk assessment, and predicting patient outcomes
• Real World Evidence (RWE) - harnessing real-world evidence data to improve diagnostic accuracy, tailor treatments, and drive innovations in personalized healthcare.
• Risk adjustment - utilizing advanced algorithms to analyze extensive healthcare data, enabling more precise predictions of patient risks and healthcare costs, and facilitating fairer insurance premium setting.
• Payment Integrity - automating fraud detection, ensuring accurate claims processing, and reducing financial losses through sophisticated data analysis and pattern recognition.
• Healthcare Operations: using AI and machine learning to optimize hospital workflows, resource allocation, and patient scheduling
• Medical Imaging: leveraging computer vision techniques to analyze medical images, detect abnormalities, and assist with diagnosis
• Drug Discovery: applying AI algorithms to identify promising drug candidates, predict drug-target interactions, and optimize drug design

Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Mining: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform medical research, clinical trials, and healthcare operations.
• Model Development: Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to predict outcomes, personalize treatments, and improve diagnostic accuracy.
• Data Management: Manage and structure large and complex datasets from diverse sources such as electronic health records, genomic data, and real-world evidence to ensure data integrity and usability.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with clinicians, researchers, and healthcare executives to translate data-driven insights into actionable healthcare outcomes.
• Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning, exploring new ways these technologies can be applied within the healthcare and life sciences field.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all data handling and processing comply with relevant regulations and standards, such as HIPAA in the U.S., to protect patient privacy and data security.
• Reporting and Visualization: Create reports and visualizations to communicate complex data findings in an understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• US Citizen or Greencard holder - no visa sponsorship
• 8+ years of experience in Data Science roles or other relevant fields (AI, ML, Data Science)
• 3+ years of experience in the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry or related fields
• High proficiency in one or more Healthcare and Life Sciences applications (as listed in JD)
• Very strong technical skills in technologies relevant to the field, and a deep understanding of underlying concepts and mechanisms (math, algorithms, models, statistics) needed for producing optimal and performant solutions
• Proven experience in scoping, designing, and architecting complex and large-scale solutions, estimating milestones, timeframes, and resources accurately
• Proven experience in leading projects and teams to a successful outcome
• Strong business acumen and ability to influence key stakeholders to make informed decisions
• Strong communication and presentation skills to be able to distill complex information and concepts into clear messages that resonate with clients of various technical backgrounds
• Curious, creative, outgoing personality with wide horizons committed to success and inspired by excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and/or similar domains (highly preferable)
• Background in Research activities and published papers
• Skills in writing domain-specific content e.g. whitepapers, blogs, etc.
