Bakery Agency is searching for an experienced designer to lead a talented group of artists through hands-on craft and example. Our designers help define and execute product prototyping, brand identities, marketing campaigns, brand collaborations, and digital content.
As a Director-level member of the Design team, you will push the boundaries of each brief, help innovate on our brands' visual expression, and create beautiful, award-winning work.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a key stakeholder and owner of the agency's design discipline, setting and maintaining the bar for incredible, inspiring visual output.
- Train up designers in your team to meet their full potential, developing them into leaders in their own right.
- Oversee the creation and production of campaigns and design solutions for our clients.
- Lead by demonstrating craft, thought, and understanding of what makes remarkable and distinctive visual art.
- Be both a hands-on designer and a compelling leader.
- Ensure our creative presentation decks are works of art in and of themselves.
- Steer team through multiple projects and rapid timelines.
- Process and quickly execute internal and/or client feedback on short deadlines.
Requirements
- An immaculate portfolio of work created for leading lifestyle brands such as Nike, LEGO, Chobani or similar trendsetters in visual identity.
- 6+ years as a Production Artist, Illustrator, Graphic Designer or similar within a design studio or creative agency.
- Ability to prove your trained and discerning eye for beautiful, market-leading visual work, your impeccable taste, design craft, and unyielding attention to detail.
- Demonstrated creative expertise in a broad array of areas including multi-channel campaigns, print and digital advertising, POS, signage, packaging, web design and usability.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Intimate knowledge of formal typographic and graphic design convention; ability to supply artwork in various file formats according to project needs.
- Competence and patience adapting to accommodate changes in strategic direction or client needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with creative teams (e.g., other designers, art directors, copywriters, motion designers, UX designers, editors, retouchers.)
- Strong hands-on studio skills for prototyping designs in retail, installations, print, packaging, and digital formats.
- Mastery of organizing projects: collecting thoughts, scoping timelines, and outlining project details under time constraints.
