Full Job Description
The CAD Designer is a lead technical support role in our Fort Worth Headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Using established CAD standards and design criteria to independently design civil infrastructure and site improvements and prepare construction plan drawings based on that design, under the direction and supervision of a professional engineer
- Organizing and scheduling work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines
- Coordination with engineers and other design team members
- Plotting and assembling construction plans, exhibits, specifications, etc
- Assist in the oversight of CAD systems & standards
Requirements
Education/Certification
- High School graduate or GED required
- Post High School technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or related field
Professional
- Responsive and results oriented in service to clients
- Minimum ten (10) years of civil CAD experience on a variety of projects preferred
- Mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated experience in actual design of water, sewer, streets, grading and drainage projects
- Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members
- Ability to quickly adapt to and adopt new CAD standards and procedures
- Commitment to quality in the design and presentation of drawings
