As a Director at Seeker Strategies, you will work for various organizations, including labor unions, nonprofits, small businesses, executives, progressive causes, and Fortune 500 companies. Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing comprehensive earned media strategies.
- Enhancing client relations, including direct account engagement, coordinating meetings, and steering project timelines and deliverables.
- Managing and expanding relationships with media, including pitching and securing coverage for our clients.
- Overseeing media monitoring for projects to inform strategy and clients.
- Writing creatively and precisely in speeches, op-eds, narratives, memos, and proposals to align with message imperatives, tone, clarity, and AP Style.
- Preparing media training and public-speaking coaching materials and advising high-level principals.
- Assessing clients’ existing communications strategy, tactics, and messaging and recommending strategy and deliverables.
- Leading small client teams and managing staff.
- Tracking client deliverables and timelines.
- Maintaining regular client communication, including reporting.
- Supporting the development of new business proposals and ideas.
Requirements
- 6+ of experience in communications roles within political campaigns, media, government, agencies, or related sectors.
- Proven track record of securing media coverage; including, expertise with ethnic, niche, and non-traditional media.
- Someone proactive and creative in implementing effective media strategies.
- Exceptional writing and research capabilities, with proficiency in AP Style.
- Expertise in leveraging social media within comprehensive communications strategies.
- Outstanding organizational skills, with an acute attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with G-suite and media monitoring software such as Meltwater, Cision, etc.
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required.
Work Environment and Essential Physical Requirements
We prefer that the Director work in person at our office or in a hybrid capacity. This position may require occasional night and weekend hours.
Even if working entirely in person, the person in this position must be able to communicate with colleagues and partners via phone, including conference and video calls, and written communication, such as email. The position requires the ability to work on a computer for all or part of the workday.

Benefits
Seeker Strategies believes the target base compensation in this role is $90,000. In addition to base salary, Seeker considers other critical components of total compensation, such as an annual discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Various factors, such as skillset, level of experience, and location, influence actual base compensation.

TIMELINE
