As an F-35 Aircraft Acceptance and Delivery Planner, you will help the F-35 Joint Program Office fulfill its mission developing, testing, producing, fielding, and sustaining dominant 5th generation fighter capabilities for the United States military services and our allies around the world. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Providing oversight of F-35 manufacturing and assembly processes at the Lockheed Martin Fort Worth facility to enable delivery of high-quality 5th Generation fighter aircraft
- Analyzing F-35 production plans across the F-35 supply chain to ensure F-35 deliveries will meet contractual requirements and ensuring adequate production capacity for future F-35 requirements
- Reviewing and assessing Engineering Change Proposals
- Analyzing production operations to identify areas for improvement and increase build quality
- Assessing and managing production tooling requirements
Requirements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 6 years of experience in industrial, quality, or manufacturing
- Extensive knowledge of design producibility, production engineering, manufacturing engineering and management, and quality assurance
- Broad knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as they relate to design and development, production, and quality assurance
- Extensive knowledge of production, production tooling, production processes, aircraft build-to-packages and tooling data packages, production facilities, prevailing practices and techniques, and lessons learned / best practices in the areas of design producibility, quality and manufacturing planning
- Analytical ability for evaluating causes and effects of design, production, and quality problems, and developing workable alternatives to development, procurement, production, and reporting of deficiencies
- Variation management, process controls, problem-solving techniques
- SECRET Clearance with eligibility for SAR
