Position Summary
The Financial Case Manager will provide comprehensive financial case management services to individuals and families in need. This role will involve evaluating financial needs, developing and implementing financial plans, and providing ongoing support and guidance to clients. You will work closely with clients to assess their financial situation, provide education on budgeting and financial management to help them access resources and services to improve their financial stability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct financial assessments and evaluations to determine clients' financial needs and goals
- Develop and implement individualized financial plans based on clients' unique circumstances
- Provide one-on-one financial coaching and education to clients, including budgeting, debt management, and savings strategies
- Assist clients in accessing financial resources and services, such as public benefits, financial counseling, and job training
- Advocate for clients' financial rights and needs within the community
- Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to coordinate services and referrals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and service provision
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
Hourly Salary Range: $21.15-$35.67
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimum of two years of experience in financial case management or a closely related role
- Knowledge of financial management principles and strategies
- Experience in budgeting, debt management, and savings techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts
- Ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in using financial software and computer applications
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations
