We are an experienced financial services team looking for an in-person team member to join us.
The Financial Planner Associate position is a client service position who reports to the Financial Professional and is critical to leveraging the FinPro’s time. This position utilizes excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to confidently provide information to clients and team members in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in client meeting preparation and follow-up including assembling requisite paperwork, proposals, report generation, appointment scheduling and post-meeting documentation
- Research investment and insurance products and pricing; prepare proposals and applications for annuity, life insurance, long term care insurance and disability insurance
- Maintain CRM database; Manage Client and Prospective Client Workflow and coordinate follow-up with Advisors
- Assist in preparation of consolidated investment performance reporting.
- Assist in financial planning strategies within EMoney software: collaborate with the Advisors by collecting client financial data, creating Net Worth statements, inputting data into software, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all submitted work; Works proactively, consistently seeking out new opportunities to assist advisors in planning more effectively, maximizing data, defining best practices and identifying high-impact activities; Compiling all required data from current or prospective clients (assets, liabilities, insurance policies, estate documents, tax returns, etc.)
- Manage client needs regarding processing, service, and problem resolution in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring documentation and record keeping adheres to compliance standards
- Successfully partner with Broker Dealer for new account establishment, account maintenance, and compliance
- Deepen client relationships and establish credibility and rapport both in-person and via phone to enhance customers’ financial relationships
- Manage multiple and competing priorities daily in pursuit of business objectives
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
- Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Experience with financial planning/reporting software preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Strong time management and organizational skills; able to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks at once
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners and influence others without direct control
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred
- The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry allowing for a good understanding of broker/dealer operations and financial services products, including but not limited to: annuities, insurance and managed accounts
- Previous experience in the independent financial services culture preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
- Series 7 and 65/66 preferred (or ability to obtain)
- CFP preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation
- Compensation is determined by qualifications, experience, the external market, and specific performance requirement
- Salary is generally reviewed annually or if responsibilities and/or job requirements change.
- Compensation for this position is a base salary and bonus income. Salary increases are not guaranteed.
