Full Job Description
The Financial Reporting Accountant/Senior Accountant will support and be a significant contributor to a growing Financial Reporting team. This individual will collaborate with teams throughout the organization to ensure the timely and accurate completion of key reporting activities, with a focus on external reporting. This individual should be a hands-on problem solver, with attention to detail. The individual’s experience in public accounting will be beneficial, and a current public accountant can step right into this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with teams throughout the accounting and finance organization to ensure the timely and accurate completion of key reporting activities
- Assist with certain month-end close activities
- Ensure transactions are properly supported and are in accordance with GAAP
- Develop strong working relationships with business partners and various levels of management
- Assist in preparing the periodic financial statements (Form 10-K and 10-Q) and other SEC filings (e.g. 8-K) and internal management reporting packages
- Format, and roll-forward SEC filings within Workiva
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and documentation for SEC filings and ownership of tie-outs
- Coordinate additional management documentation and other key control support
- Prepare, analyze, and verify accounting reports and other records to support responses to data requests from external auditors
- Ensure SOX compliance for processes related to financial reporting and disclosure controls; mitigate and remediate SOX compliance issues identified through internal and external audit processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial reporting process
- Assist with ad-hoc or special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Ideal candidate must have a strong technical accounting background, a good understanding of GAAP and SEC regulations and will possess excellent communication and writing skills
- Candidate must also be attentive to detail, organized, and be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working with cross-functional teams, including tax, corporate finance, treasury and legal
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting
- 2-5 years’ experience in public accounting or financial reporting in a public company
- CPA license or parts passed
- Knowledge of US GAAP, FASB pronouncements, and SEC rules and regulations and public company audit requirements
- Research and project management skills as well as presentation skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities
- Able to move fluidly between collaborative and independent work styles
- Self-starter who takes initiative in process improvement
- Strong Excel skills. Experience with Workiva, LightSpeed, Sage Intacct, AvidXchange or other accounting systems and platforms preferred.
